Max Rosenberg founded Intac Actuarial Service, Inc. in 1977 and began providing one-on-one actuarial and pension consulting services to area small businesses. Prior to starting INTAC, Max spent 10 years gaining experience and building connections in the pension consulting industry. In 1979, Max introduced the SMART Pension System – a line of software that he developed specifically for actuaries and pension plan administrators to bring a higher level of administration to retirement plans. This comprehensive pension administration software was eventually sold and is still in use today.
With over 45 years of experience in pension consulting and actuarial practice as well as accreditation by the Departments of Treasury and Labor Joint Board for the Enrollment of Actuaries, Max is frequently called upon to lecture on a full range of retirement plans and important industry topics. Max holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, New York and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Mathematics from Brooklyn College, Brooklyn, New York. He is an Enrolled Actuary (EA), and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries, the Society of Pension Actuaries (MSPA), and the ASSPA College of Pension Actuaries (ACOPA).
Now in INTAC’s 2nd generation of family-ownership, Max’s vision of creating a small company that combined his industry expertise and grass-roots philosophy has grown and flourished into the well-established and respected firm it is today.
